The Walt Disney Company produced Professor Ludwig Von Drake as a cartoon character in 1961. He first appeared in the cartoon An Adventure in Color, which was part of the first episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color on NBC, as the host (and singer of "The Spectrum Song"). He is listed as a scientist, lecturer, psychologist, and world traveler, and is said to be Donald Duck's uncle. In eighteen episodes of the classic anthology series, as well as on a number of Disneyland Records, the character demonstrated his "expert" expertise on a range of subjects.
