Princess Mei appears as a minor character in Mulan II, a Disney animated film. She is one of the three daughters of the Chinese emperor. To establish a comprehensive alliance between China and the kingdom of Qui-Gong, they are sent on a task to wed the sons of Lord Qin.
Mei, the second daughter of the Emperor, is about the same height as her sisters.  She has a trademark hue of pink. She is seen as a minor damsel in distress because she has been abducted by China's foes while the heroes are knocked out during the battle, although she is rescued by her companions. She has courage, enthusiasm, and compassion. She is persuaded by Mulan that following her heart is what she should do, and she accepts this as the truth. Even though Yao has a fiery and violent temper, she still loves him because she thinks he is attractive and kind-hearted.
