The Talking Skull, often known as Jolly Roger or Captain X, is a character from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The talking skull, which was originally attached to the wall over the Blue Bayou's bateaux, issues a number of dire warnings including "Psst, avast there. It be too late to alter course."
The skull was shown in Pirates of the Caribbean in a number of ways, including the well-known Jolly Roger design with the skull and crossed swords or bones and a floating skull. The name Captain X belonged to a pirate who operated in the Caribbean at some point during the Golden Age of Piracy. He had Irish ancestry, and was frequently depicted wearing an eyepatch.
Captain X eventually passed away, and his skull was adorned with twin blades and pirate gear. The skull has also been spotted in the caves of Isla Tesoro and Voodoo Alley in Treasure Cove. Even after passing away, X's skull continued to be alive, displaying signs of occult abilities and knowledge.
